JOURNALING & SOUND THERAPY

JOURNALING: For me, Journaling just helps to align myself with what I need for myself for my day and then again to settle into the evening, connect & process anything I need to. The feminine, Lunar pace of the evening is intrinsically gentler and slower than that of the masculine, Solar pace of the daytime. Taking even just five minutes a day for reflection and self connection can help create a sense of calm, relaxation, ease, wholeness, self mastery, and improve emotional well-being. I like to take five minutes in the morning while I have my coffee to embrace the energy of the day, sort out thoughts, feelings, duties or anything else I need to address and check in with myself; and then again in the evening with a cup of tea or a bath, soft music (LIL's Spotify playlist) and a luminary; to settle in and gather with the energy of the evening. Journaling can be extremely therapeutic & healing, boost creativity, help set/sort/& accomplish goals, organize thoughts & feelings, provide clarity and is linked to improved mood, strengthened immune system, eased stress and helps us cope with life's challenges. Lighting a luminary, and Journaling with some calm music in the background can help you regulate your nervous system to the pace of evening, calm the mind and relax the body, preparing you for a good nights rest and the demands of the next day ahead. Sit and observe your thoughts/feelings and jot it all down... or focus on what you are grateful for, what went well today, set any goals you have and compartmentalize things that are causing you any overwhelm, or list all the things you need to get done and write away any chatter you need to release and give your conscious mind, your heart, and your nervous system a break. Im still working on this but try to remember that "Energy flows where the focus goes"! Meaning, we get more of what we focus on, So retraining your brain to focus more on all the positives can be life transformative and help manifest the life you want, or simply help to live a little bit more "on purpose". I love the idea of always ending the journal session with something you value about yourself or something about yourself that you are grateful for. Welcome all that you are and share your magic with others so they too have permission to do the same. Remember to connect & honor yourself for all the hard things you can do, for your story, and all the beautifully broken bits, all the wonderful, magnificent, mess the human condition demands of you. Toodaloo for now! XoxOxo
